ADIN selecciona três ONG para implementação de projectos de desenvolvimento na região norte

Yesterday (22) in Maputo, the Northern Integrated Development Agency (ADIN) selected three civil society organizations to develop and implement projects to prevent violent extremism in the provinces of Cabo Delgado, Niassa and Nampula.

These are ActionAid Mozambique, the Mecanismo de Apoio à Sociedade Civil Foundation (MASC) and the Associação de Apoio e Assistência Jurídica às Comunidades (AAAJC), which, through a public tender, were chosen to lead projects budgeted at 2.5 million US dollars, financed by the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF) to support communities in regions affected by terrorism.

On the occasion, the president of ADIN's Executive Committee, Jacinto Loureiro, wished the selectees success and recommended that at all stages they work in coordination with government structures at all levels, as well as with the communities.

Quoted by the newspaper Domingo, the manager also invited partners working in northern Mozambique to join ADIN in promoting these and other development initiatives.
