The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Institute for the Management of State Holdings (IGEPE), Ana Coanai, said that Silos e Terminal Graneleiro da Matola (STEMA) will in the coming days benefit from investment for the construction and rehabilitation of silos.
Coanai, quoted by News that the investment aims to increase its capacity for storing, receiving and dispatching trucks.
In this context, according to the source, money is being mobilized on the South African market to enable the construction of a new silo and the rehabilitation of others that are outdated to meet market demand.
"We are in the process of mobilizing funding and we believe that by the end of this year we will be able to close the deal," explained Ana Coanai.
The source also said that the investment will allow for the creation of conditions, including equipment, for the company located in the district of Matola, which will help to increase grain handling levels.
Coanai was speaking as part of the Maputo International Fair (FACIM), which runs from Monday until Sunday in Marracuene.
