Mozambique participates in international conference on African development

Moçambique participa na Conferência Internacional sobre desenvolvimento de África

As of Saturday, May 24, Mozambique is taking part in the ministerial meeting of the International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9), which is taking place in Tokyo, Japan..

The event, entitled "How to create innovative solutions with Africa", will address, among other things, the preparation of the 2025-2027 action plan.

The Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Manuel Gonçalves, who will be representing the country at the meeting, will talk about Peace and Stability, with a view to guaranteeing human dignity and the security situation in Mozambique.

The Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation will be accompanied on this trip by José Matsinhe, Director for Asia and Oceania at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.

A document from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation also states that the ministers should assess the progress made in relation to the Implementation of the Action Plan (2022-2024) from the previous summit (TICAD 8), held in Tunisia.
