The National Electoral Commission (CNE) says it still has a deficit of around 13 billion meticais for the October 9 elections.
The CNE explains that, at the moment, it is working within the possible conditions, to ensure that as soon as there is money, the work can continue.
CNE spokesman Paulo Cuinica confirmed to O País newspaper today that the CNE still doesn't have enough money for the elections. Cuinica said that 19.9 billion meticais are needed. (O País)
