Moza Banco posts profits of 11.2 million meticais in the first half of the year

Moza Banco regista lucros de 11,2 milhões de meticais no primeiro semestre

In the first half of this year, Moza Banco made a profit of 11.2 million meticais, recovering from losses of 55.5 million in the same period of 2023.

The figures can be found in Moza Banco's Interim Financial Statements for the first half of the year, to which MZNews had access to.

Up to June 30 this year, according to the report, the bank had total assets of 59.7 million meticais, while liabilities stood at 50.1 million meticais. Total equity stood at 9.6 million meticais in the period in question.

Last year, Moza Banco's profits grew 13% to 101.8 million meticais, making it the second year in a row that the institution has recorded positive accounts.

Created in 2007, Moza Banco is 66% owned by Kuhanha - Sociedade Gestora do Fundo de Pensões dos Trabalhadores do Banco de Moçambique (BdM), followed by Arise B.V. with 30.7%, among other shareholders.
