The Inspector General of the National Inspectorate of Economic Activities (INAE), says she is concerned about the circulation of counterfeit products on the national market in recent days.
According to Rita Freitas, who was speaking on Saturday in the city of Xai-Xai, Gaza province, as part of the celebrations marking the 14th anniversary of the creation of INAE, the food and electronics industries are the ones that register the most cases. That's why he considers the consumer to be the first inspector.
"We have already withdrawn several counterfeit products from the national market. We have some examples of milk, tomato paste, some detergents, various brands of footwear, gym clothes that bear a brand using the symbol but are not of the brand," she said, adding that "cell phones too, electronic products, we have a lot of complaints about products that are not of good quality that enter the national market, most of them unbranded, and then as the customer requests a certain brand they put it on and download the software as if it were a genuine product."
To this end, Rita Freitas calls on consumers to check products thoroughly during purchase to avoid buying counterfeit products.
