On Thursday (06), the Bank of Mozambique (bm) suspended EcoBank from the Market Operations System, according to a note from the Markets and Reserve Management Department.

As a result, Ecobank is banned from participating in the Interbank Foreign Exchange Market and the Interbank Money Market, says a note from the BM, without giving any reasons for the decision.

Ecobank has more than four branches located in Mozambique's largest cities, two of which are in the southern region, one in the central region and one in the northern region, writes the Zitamar.
