Filipe Nyusi defends simplified access to funds for environmental preservation

The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, calls on the members of the Parliamentary Assembly of Africa, Caribbean and Pacific-European Union to give more attention to the issue of climate change, as a phenomenon that affects the member countries.

Speaking, this Monday, at the opening ceremony of the forty-second session of the African, Caribbean and Pacific-European Union Joint Parliamentary Assembly, the Mozambican statesman defended simplified access to resources, to cope with the preservation of the environment.

"It is essential that ACP countries, especially those most vulnerable to natural disaster risks, be guaranteed simplified access to additional financial resources from the Green Climate Fund, Adaptation Fund, Global Environment Fund, Special Climate Change Fund and the Least Developed Countries Fund" said Filipe Nyusi.

The forty-second session of the African, Caribbean and Pacific-European Union Joint Parliamentary Assembly will be held in the city of Maputo until next Wednesday.
