Government says new Single Wage Scale is irreversible

Governo diz que nova Tabela Salarial Única é assunto irreversível

The Government reaffirms its commitment to implement the Single Wage Table (TSU), considering this new payment mechanism in the Civil Service as an irreversible matter.

The information was shared yesterday, in Maputo, by the spokesperson of the Council of Ministers and Deputy Minister of Justice, Constitutional and Religious Affairs, Filimão Suaze, moments after the end of the 27th Session of the body.

Suaze referred that the commissions continue to work on the framework and to remedy the non-conformities detected and that dictated the non-fulfilling of the TSU. Only Level I employees received their salaries, leaving the others for later.

However, in order for it to conform to the demands of the various groups, according to the government spokesman, the instrument will only get off the drawing board after it gathers consensus.

"The sequence of work that has been carried out indicates that after the work that is being done by the specialized commission for this purpose, there will be consultation with the union groups and professional associations, and only after this combination of understandings between the work that is being done by the commission and the harmonization with the sectors will the instrument that changes these scenarios be approved," said Filimão Suazi, the government spokesman.
