The Traffic Police has resumed the use of breathalyzers (Bafometers) for alcohol control activities on drivers, according to an instruction from the General Commander of the PRM, dated July 22.
The note explains that the measure results from the alleviation of measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19, and also foresees the intensification of lectures in companies, churches, public passenger transport terminals, and in all places with larger crowds of people.
The decision is also a measure to prevent and combat the traffic accidents that have recently claimed many lives, in addition to the destruction of public and private property.
