Margarida Talapa asks the population for calm and calls on the working class to distance themselves from these acts called for through social networks and other digital platforms.
The level of discontent among Mozambicans about the current cost of living is growing, and the government is aware of the situation.
However, the Mozambican Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security, Margarida Talapa appeals to the society for calm and tranquility.
"We are not denying that there is high cost of living and, in fact, the government is studying ways how to alleviate this situation within Mozambicans," said the minister quoted by RFI.
Meanwhile, the general secretary of the Organization of Workers of Mozambique (OTM-CS), Alexandre Munguambe, distances the working class from the silent strike held on Thursday against the high cost of living.
