The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, believes that the fruitful interaction between Mozambican and Angolan higher education institutions is crucial to leverage the economies of the two countries and consequent improvements in the living conditions of their respective peoples. "For this, it is necessary to explore the natural relationship, forged, during the national liberation struggle," he said.
The statement made by the Mozambican statesman comes in the context of the International Conference held in Maputo to celebrate 60 years of Higher Education in Mozambique and Angola.
For the Head of State, what the Angolan knows, the Mozambican is forbidden not to know, because there are no reasons and nor are they allowed. "Let's grow together, as we have done in historical moments," exhorted Filipe Nyusi.
It should be noted that Mozambique has 56 higher education establishments, of which 22 are public and 34 private, against one before the proclamation of independence.
