The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Celso Correia, leads today, in the capital of the country, the meeting to negotiate the minimum price of seed cotton, for the 2021/2022 season.

At the meeting, the National Forum of Cotton Producers (FONPA) and the Cotton Association of Mozambique (AAM) will negotiate the proposals of minimum prices for seed cotton and the fee for its ginning.

The expectation is that the event will also share the results of the impact of the subsidy on the price of the product applied in the previous campaign and the proposal for a mechanism to stabilize its price.
