Two bridges were swept away by water this Saturday on National Road number 01 (EN1) in Zambezia province, thus cutting the land connection between the central and northern regions of the country.

The incidents occurred in the stretch between Namacurra and Nicoadala, with the first one in the morning on the bridge over the Nhazobe River and the second, around 2 pm, leaving the delegation of the Secretary of State, Judite Mussácula, under siege.

So far there is no information on when the matter will be resolved because it continues to rain in Zambezia

Also, along the N1, the Namacurra river located in the district of the same name overflowed, conditioning road traffic as well as people and goods.
