The government authorized the extraordinary transfer of 26 million meticais to continue the disbursement of subsidies to support the victims of the landslide at the Hulene dump in Maputo.
This money will be allocated in stages to 250 families.
The Spokesman for the Council of Ministers, Filimão Suazi, said that the process of the construction of the 300 houses has resumed and there is still no date for its completion.
The government clarified that the delay in building houses for those affected is the result of a case referred to the Administrative Court where a family claimed ownership of the land where the houses are being built.
The Council of Ministers also approved the inclusion of additional areas in the Maputo Port Concession Area and the fixing of rents to be charged.
Meeting in its sixth regular session, the government also approved information about the One District, One Weather Station program, the Second National Urban Forum, and the Emergency Situation in the country.
The Council of Ministers also approved the Project for Massification of the Use of Cooking Gas, to be launched on March 14, in Anchilo, Nampula province.
