Since the opening, on October 1st last, of Expo Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, the Mozambique Pavilion has registered significant entries from people of various nationalities, interested in getting to know the potentialities of the country.
So far, the month of December has registered the highest number of visitors with a daily average of two thousand people per day, totaling 78,593 for that month. In February, there were days when the space welcomed more than four thousand people.
According to the director of the pavilion, Sozinho Boane, the increase in the number of visitors is due to the fact that the end of the exhibition is near, which arouses the curiosity of many people. Therefore, he expects more people in the coming days.
"We see that we are receiving more and more people of various nationalities who are interested in learning about Mozambique, this makes us great, and we are sure that we will reach the wide audience we want, among tourists and potential investors," he said.
Visitors flock to the Mozambique pavilion because of their wide-ranging interests. They want, for example, to invest in various areas, as well as to get to know the culture and practice tourism.
It is in this sense that Egyptian Ahmed Elkassas, after a visit to the Mozambique Pavilion, said he came across a country that is "very beautiful, mythical and one of the best pavilions at Expo 2020 Dubai."
Elkassas added that the creativity "is very good and makes us want to visit Mozambique one day."
For his part, Wassima Bakkali, from Morocco, was enchanted by the beauty and diversity of the beaches and the traditional music.
"I connected with interesting and special people, I also enjoyed traditional instruments. I enjoyed the products on display, the colors of the pavilion, and playing the timbila," she commented.
The Mozambique Pavilion is attended by twelve Mozambicans, some of whom live in Dubai. One of the assistants, Arlindo Pindula, said that their mission is to communicate and promote the country in other parts of the world. "It's a good experience, we attend people from all over the world and many don't even know our country," he said, adding that many visitors want to know about the gastronomy.
Alda Bohane, from the same team, explained that she has been answering questions about agriculture, infrastructure, energy, and especially tourism, which are also on display at the Pavilion.
