"Búzi's agricultural potential will boost economic development in the region"

The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, considers that the agricultural potential of the district of Búzi, in Sofala, will increase the region's economic development.

The Head of State was impressed with the level of vegetative growth that the crops are registering, especially rice and corn.

Filipe Nyusi was speaking this Saturday at the inauguration ceremony of the district delegation building of the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) of Búzi,

On the occasion, the President challenged the peasant families to increase their production areas.

"As you know, the economy of Búzi is dominated, for example, by agriculture. Here seeds fall and are born by themselves. You have sugarcane, here you have banana trees, mango trees, all kinds of fruits here work. The rice, I saw, when we were flying over. If the behavior of the rains continues like this, we will have food," said Nyusi, quoted by Radio Mozambique.

About rice cultivation, Búzi expects to harvest in this agrarian campaign, about 66 thousand tons, which will allow more income creation in the communities.
