The city of Maputo, hosts from today the International Conference on Extractive Industry. It is an event organized by the Assembly of the Republic and civil society organizations that aims, among several aspects, to share experiences on policies and practices of revenue management sensitive to gender balance in this sector..

According to the organizers, from this conference, it is intended that the gains resulting from the extractive sector in the country will also be reflected in the improvement of women's living conditions.

Taking place between today and tomorrow (Tuesday), the meeting will bring together members of the national and SADC parliaments, representatives of Government and Civil Society institutions, the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Mozambique, among others.
