Chongoene Airport construction works executed in 80%

The construction work of the future airport in the province of Gaza, Chongoene district, is just a few steps away from completion, and some infrastructures are in the finishing phase.

On the main runway, which is made of concrete, grooves are being placed on the sidewalk surface to create friction when aircraft land; on the taxiway, signaling to facilitate the movement of aircraft should start soon.

Meanwhile, the buildings for the fire station, the power station, and the cargo terminal are practically finished and are expected to enter the fitting out stage.

Meanwhile, the airfield and the main building are receiving glazing and roofing.

Inside the facilities, the placement of partitions in the service areas is underway; placement of false ceiling and paving of the floor is underway. The coating on the walls was practically concluded.
