Zimbabwe donates 20,000 liters of medical oxygen to Beira Central Hospital

The Beira Central Hospital (HCB) in Sofala received around 20,000 liters of medical oxygen yesterday (20.04), donated by Zimbabwe, announced the HCB's clinical director, Ana Tambo.

According to the source, this is the first batch of a total of 150 tons of medical gases that Zimbabwe will donate to HCB.

The donation comes in response to a request made by President Filipe Nyusi to his Zimbabwean counterpart to deal with the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tambo also said that the medical oxygen will be used by patients in all the wards, especially the operating room and emergency services.
