Zambézia: Venâncio Mondlane plans to industrialize Milange if he wins the elections

Zambézia: Venâncio Mondlane projecta industrializar Milange caso vença as eleições

The presidential candidate, Venâncio Mondlane, supported by the Optimist Party for the Development of Mozambique (PODEMOS), an extra-parliamentary political formation, promised, in the district of Milange, in the central province of Zambézia, to set up factories to process various agricultural products, with a view to creating jobs for young people.

But for this aspiration to come true, Venâncio Mondlane said it was imperative that his supporters vote for him massively in the presidential elections on October 9.

"We also want to open up lines of financing for traders, because there are a lot of them here," said the candidate.

Cited by AIMVenâncio Mondlane explained that, in the past, traders used to go to the fields to buy beans and sell them in Milange. For this reason, "his government is going to create lines of credit because one of the problems facing Milange traders is precisely the lack of lines of finance".

The source went on to say that the people of Milange should not be content with just having a reputation for good agriculture, but without tangible results for their lives, lamenting the fact that agricultural products, which should be developing Milange, are being transported to Malawi.

"Agriculture, which should be developing Milange to have good schools, good roads, good hospitals, is developing another country. When you want good schools for your children, many of you send them to Blantyre. So, my friends, the time has come for Milange agriculture to develop Milange. The time has come for Milange to be for Milange people, Zambezia to be for Zambezians and Mozambique to be for Mozambicans," said Mondlane.

Nevertheless, Mondlane assured the electorate of Milange that his government will also value the régulos who are used to humiliate the population, and the democratic and national liberation fighters, as they are poorly paid and marginalized.
