YouTube prepara novas experiências no metaverso, a começar pelo gaming

YouTube is going to start creating experiences in the metaverse, starting with the gaming area. With this, Google's video platform does not want to remain indifferent to the trend.

YouTube's Chief Product Officer (CPO), Neal Mohan, explained that YouTube is thinking of new ways to make the content viewing experience more intense. The first area to undergo the changes will be gamin.

"In gaming is the first where we will work to bring more interaction to games," says Neal Mohan, adding that the project is still at an early stage.

In January, the company had already expressed its interest in non-fungible tokens, and now Neal Mohan indicates that YouTube believes that "technologies like blockchain and NFTs can give creators the opportunity to build deeper relationships with their users."

YouTube wants to continue to invest in Shorts, which has TikTok as a direct competitor, by adding new effects and tools, as well as the possibility of making purchases through this type of videos.

Making improvements to the comments section is another priority for the platform, which will allow content creators to set specific rules for their channels.

YouTube also wants to give creators more insights, helping them to understand more quickly what types of videos their audience wants to see.
