The Secretary General of the Association of Combatants of the National Liberation Struggle (ACLLN), Fernando Faustino, died of an illness in the early hours of this morning in South Africa.

According to a Canalmoz publication, Faustino lost his life to a stroke.

He spent several weeks in Maputo's Private Hospital before being transferred to the neighboring country due to the worsening of his health in recent days.

Fernando Faustino was married to Carmelita Namashulua, the Minister of Education. He was also a director of the public company Companhia Moçambicana de Hidrocarbonetos. He was a major lobbyist for the mining concessions where he holds several licenses, Canalmoz wrote on a social network.
