SpaceX has announced that it has started offering Starlink in Nigeria - meaning that this is the first country in Africa to have access to Internet service provided via a network of orbiting satellites.

The news was officially announced via TwitterIn a press release, quoted by Notícias ao Minuto, Nigeria's Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Pantami, responded to SpaceX's publication. "We have done it again. Thank you SpaceX for hosting me at your headquarters in the USA in December 2022 to complete the logistics for the launch," the minister wrote.

Remember that Starlink is already available in several countries and has over a million users.
