Celso Correia, election campaign manager denies being behind the fraud in the local elections held on October 11.

In fact, Correia, who often appears as the central figure in the alleged electoral fraud in the sixth local elections allegedly carried out by Frelimo, says that his party does not tolerate fraud.

"The competent institutions have already done their job in this matter and we are a party that does not tolerate fraud, and we are pleased that the party has managed to win the vote and the trust of the majority of Mozambicans," he said, quoted by the newspaper "O País".

The Minister of Agriculture also said that the most important thing at the moment is to design policies that respond to the needs of those who voted and those who didn't vote for Frelimo.

"We have major challenges in terms of employment and transport in urban areas, that's the most important thing, the party has to be able to design policies that respond to these needs," he said.
