The National Criminal Investigation Service (Sernic) announced the arrest of two men who robbed and held hostage for two days a judge and her family in Manhiça district, Maputo province.
However, Sernic claims the lack of a third citizen to complete the group of robbers who fought the judge asking relatives to transfer 140,000 meticais to her bank account as a condition for her freedom.
According to Sernic spokesman Elino Pangane, after the evildoers entered her house the next day, the magistrate was taken under threat by the group's leader to an ATM (electronic payment machine) where she withdrew the money demanded.
The spokesman advanced that the gang also seized a computer and cell phones from the judge.
Elino Pangane said that the leader of the group fled to Gaza, neighboring Maputo province, and activities are underway to locate and neutralize him.
