The rate of violence against women and girls has been falling in the country, according to authorities in the sector.
According to data from the Office for the Integrated Care of Victims of Violence, around nine thousand six hundred cases were reported in the first half of this year.
Compared to the same period last year, the number has fallen by around 1,300 cases, according to information shared yesterday (25) by the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Action, Nyeleti Mondolane, at the launch of the "16 Days of Activism Against Violence Against Women" and "Africa Educate Hé" campaigns.
She called for people to join the initiative to prevent gender-based violence, in order to increasingly reduce this social evil in the country.
