Prime Minister defends continuous capacity building of public institutions

Primeiro-Ministro defende capacitação contínua das instituições públicas

The Prime Minister, Carlos Agostinho do Rosário, defends the need for a continuous capacity building of public institutions as well as the strengthening of supervision and internal control in order to ensure the application of standards and procedures for public finance management.

According to Carlos Agostinho do Rosário, who spoke today in the Assembly of the Republic, this action must and is one of the government's priorities in order to overcome the challenges identified in the State General Account 2020.

"With these and other actions, we want to ensure that public servants, including managers, scrupulously observe the rules and procedures established in the legislation, thus contributing to the provision of quality services to the citizen," the Prime Minister said.

Meanwhile, the governor told deputies that as part of the improvement and modernization of the State Financial Administration, the Executive is improving and expanding the use of information and communication technologies in the management of public finances.
