Six individuals, including a woman, are being heard by the Pretoria Magistrates' Court in South Africa on charges of illegally trading in rhino horn.

According to Rádio Moçambique, citing the South African police, the six individuals are allegedly linked to an international fraud scheme involving around a thousand rhino horns destined for illegal markets in Southeast Asia.

The individuals are said to have obtained licenses under false pretenses to buy and sell rhino horns on the South African market, while diverting them to illegal international markets.
