For humanitarian programs: United Nations mobilizes some USD 413 million

The United Nations and partners are mobilizing around 413 million dollars to fund humanitarian programs in Mozambique.

The coordinator of the United Nations Humanitarian Aid Office in Mozambique said, quoted by Rádio Moçambique, that of this amount around 387 million will be allocated to assisting conflict situations, and 26 million to natural disasters.

Paula Serrão said that so far, only 11% of the needs had been mobilized.

According to the source, the institution is also continuing to work with the National Institute for Disaster Risk Management and Reduction (INGD) to assist families who have been affected by the floods in the country.
