By 2027, the Norwegian government will have invested more than 4 million dollars in preserving the country's marine ecosystem and diversifying its economy.
According to the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Mozambique, Haakon Gram-Johannssen, who was speaking at the launch of the Oceans for Development Program, the funding will also strengthen the institutional capacity of the marine sector by sharing experiences.
For the Minister for the Sea, Inland Waters and Fisheries, Lídia Cardoso, who led the ceremony to launch the program, the initiative will enable the sustainable use of marine resources through the Blue Economy.
