The new Foreign Citizen's Legal Regime establishes the norms for Entry, Permanence and Exit of the Country, and also establishes norms regarding the entry and exit of foreign citizens under 18 years of age, from Mozambique.
These provisions can be seen as one of several novelties that this legal device foresees, thus, for the purposes of entry and exit from the national territory of foreign citizens, under 18 years of age, the following conditions must be met:
When not accompanied by parents - it is necessary to present at the time of entry and/or exit a written authorization from the parents or from the person exercising parental power, in Portuguese or translated, with notarized recognition by the competent authorities.
When accompanied by one of the parents ?it is necessary to present at the time of entry and/or exit a written authorization from the other parent, expressing his/her consent to the minor's trip, in Portuguese or translated, with notarized recognition by the competent authorities.
It should be noted that in cases where the entry of the person to whom the minor is entrusted is refused, the measure extends to the minor, and the same happens when the entry of the minor under 18 years of age is refused. RSM
