The Minister of Transport and Logistics, João Matlombe, visited Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique this Friday to find out how the airline works and its current status.
According to a note posted on the airline's website, during the visit the minister met with the management and conveyed a message of encouragement and reaffirmed the government's commitment to restructuring the company.
Matlombe spoke of the importance of modernization and operational efficiency to ensure LAM's sustainability.
"LAM plays a crucial role in Mozambican aviation, and the government is committed to supporting its financial and operational recovery," he said.
In fact, the government has been trying to pull the company out of the doldrums for some time now, but it seems without success.
