Maputo: ANE necessita de 690 milhões de meticais para repor vias destruídas pelas chuvas

The National Roads Administration (ANE) needs 690 million meticais for emergency repairs to roads damaged by the rains that have battered Maputo province in recent days.

According to the ANE delegate in Maputo yesterday (11), during the meeting of the Emergency Operational Committee, these are the Maragra/Kalanga, Maragra/Machubo roads in the Marracuene district and the Salamanga/Catuane road in Matutuine, which are currently impassable for a length of 130 kilometers.

At the meeting, which served to assess the damage caused by the rains in the province, Nurbina Noormahomed explained that at the moment the sector she heads "is looking for 64 million meticais for palliative interventions to allow vehicles to circulate", while waiting for the definitive repair of the stretches affected by the floods.
