WaterAid Mozambique is holding a workshop today in Maputo to present the "Policy Paper" on the provision of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) services in health facilities in Mozambique, with a focus on the provinces of Niassa, Maputo and Gaza..
It is an event that aims to boost the national debate on the urgent integration of WASH services into health sector policies and plans, ensuring that no health facility operates without basic hygiene and sanitation conditions.
The initiative involves government representatives, cooperation partners, civil society, health professionals and experts in the field.
"The expectation is to promote an open and constructive dialog in order to identify sustainable and effective solutions that will ensure better public health conditions throughout the country," the statement said.
