DStv and GOtv are the only true soccer houses in Mozambique, offering a range and depth of action that no other competitor can match - it's literally "Unbeatable Football".

This final is a unique moment for both clubs. Manchester United are claiming a trophy for the first time, after winning the UEFA Europa League and consolidating their excellent showing in Erik Tem Hag's first season in charge.

"It's good to get to the final, of course, but it's not just about getting there," said Ten Hag. "We have to win. It's going to be difficult because we're up against a great opponent - Newcastle. We need huge motivation, first of all, and we obviously want to take the cup home."

Saudi Arabian-led Newcastle United have sparked a revolution under manager Eddie Howe, and nothing would underline their 'sinister' potential more than a first domestic cup triumph since 1955 (when they won the FA Cup). "It's been a brilliant campaign up to this point and we're really pleased to be in the final," said Howe, who also stresses the importance of winning this big game.

Key players

Marcus Rashford - The Manchester United striker is enjoying the best season of his career so far and would like to reinforce his work in 2022-23 with a standout performance in the Carabao Cup final.

Joelinton - The Brazilian converted from a striker to an excellent midfielder last year, becoming the driving force behind Newcastle United's vast improvement under Eddie Howe.

Head-to-head statistics

In head-to-head statistics, Man United and Newcastle have played 174 matches in all competitions since 1895. The Red Devils have 90 wins to the Magpies' 43, 41 of which have been draws.

His last knockout was in the Carabao Cup in 2012 - with Man United winning 2-1 - while their most recent Premier League meeting was at Old Trafford in October 2022, which ended in a goalless draw. The Red Devils are unbeaten in their last six matches against the Magpies.

Battles to Watch

Erik ten Hag v Eddie Howe - Both Ten Hag and Howe have done a remarkable job of turning previously dysfunctional teams into winning ones - now their challenge is to go much further and convince the combine they guide that Carabao Cup glory is theirs for the taking.

Raphael Varane vs. Alexander Isak - Varane is a "Rolls Royce" defender who always seems unflappable, but he will have to be at his best to counter the attacking threat offered by the athletic and agile Isak.

Casemiro against Bruno Guimarães - Two brilliant Brazilian midfielders, Casemiro and Guimarães will fight for control of the 'engine room' and give their respective teams a big advantage for this clash at Wembley Stadium.
