The Mozambican Football Federation (FMF) will pay each player 75,000 meticais for qualifying for the quarter-finals of the seventh edition of the African Football Championship reserved for domestic players (CHAN) underway in Algeria, said an official source quoted by Notícias online..

Jorge Bambo, the FMF's vice-president for finance, said that this was the understanding reached at a meeting on Monday with the players, who were demanding 100,000 to 150,000 and the FMF was offering 40,000 for the achievement.

According to the source, quoted by the same portal, part of this amount, 50,000 meticais, has already been deposited in the athletes' accounts.

Regarding the working environment, he says that the group is happy and calm and that the focus now is on beating Madagascar (scheduled for next Saturday) and moving on.
