The Mozambican Football Federation (FMF) will pay each player 75,000 meticals for qualifying for the quarter-finals of the seventh edition of the African Football Championship reserved for domestic players (CHAN) being held in Algeria, said an official source cited by Notícias online.
Jorge Bambo, FMF vice-president for finance, said that this was the understanding that was reached in a meeting held on Monday with the players who demanded 100 to 150 thousand and that the FMF offered 40 thousand for the achievement.
According to the source, quoted by the same portal, part of this amount, 50 thousand meticais, has already been deposited in the athletes' accounts.
Regarding the work environment, he says that there is joy and tranquility within the group and that the focus now is to beat Madagascar (match scheduled for next Saturday) and move on.
