LAM pode poupar 96 milhões MT/ano com revisão de contratos, CIP

Mozambique Airlines (LAM) could save 125,000 dollars a month by reviewing catering contracts, revealed the director of Participation Control at the State Participation Management Institute (IGEPE), according to CIP.

Once the calculations have been made, this fat amounts to 1.5 million dollars a year, the equivalent of 96 million meticais (at an exchange rate of 64 meticais).

These amounts are spent in a context in which the company is mired in a financial crisis, sometimes even lacking meals for users during their journeys.

The amount that can be saved refers to the revision of contracts for just one type of service, which presupposes that there could still be more fat.

Remember that a few months ago, the President of the Republic revealed that LAM was a den of nhonguistas and boladores, who are conditioning the revitalization of the company.

According to the IGEPE representative, the veracity of these facts will be confirmed or not by the ongoing forensic audit, the results of which will be released next month. (CIP)
