Three people died and another three were injured in Jangamo, Inhambane province, after a tree fell due to the strong winds that hit the region.
The event, according to Rádio Moçambique, took place last Wednesday and the three injured people, whose clinical condition is considered stable, are receiving medical attention at the Jangamo District Hospital.
In addition to the Jangamo incident, the bad weather destroyed public and private infrastructure in the Morrumbene district.
According to the source, the INGD National Institute for Disaster Risk Management delegate in Inhambane, Gilberto Miguel, says that multi-sector teams are on the ground collecting real data on the impact of the windstorm and lightning strikes recorded last Wednesday in the province.
