A fire broke out this morning in part of the offices of the Ministry of State Administration and Civil Service (MAEF) in Maputo city.
The fire, which affected the fourth floor of the building, broke out at around 7 a.m. and affected the technicians' office in the MAEFP's Legal and Electoral Affairs Office. And according to the spokesperson for the National Public Salvation Service (SENSAP), Vanessa Chiau, quoted by AIMIt is presumed that the fire was caused by a short circuit and caused extensive damage.
"An air conditioner is being blamed for the short circuit. However, so far we can't say for sure," said Vanessa Chiau, adding that there was extensive material damage, "as most of the material that was there was consumed by the flames".
