Mozambique's National Meteorological Institute (INAM) warns that the Severe Tropical Storm, which is influencing the occurrence of rain and thunderstorms in our country and in the Mozambique channel, could evolve into a tropical cyclone as of Thursday, as it moves away from Madagascar..

Dubbed "GARANCE", the tropical storm could be accompanied by strong winds of up to 190 km/h.

In the meantime, INAM assures that it will continue to monitor the evolution of this system, appealing to the population to continue to follow the meteorological information and warnings issued by the competent national authorities.
