The National Meteorological Institute (INAM) is forecasting strong gusty winds in the south of the country from tomorrow afternoon.

According to the INAM note, some districts in the provinces of Maputo, Gaza and Inhambane will be affected.

In Maputo province, the districts of Matutuine, Namaacha, Boane, Moamba, Magude, Manhiça, Marracuene, the cities of Maputo and Matola will be affected.

In Gaza, the districts of Massingir, Chókwe, Chonguene, Bilene, Limpopo, Mandlakazi, Chicualacuala, Mapai, Massangena, Mabalane, Chigubo, Chibuto, Guijá, Chongoene and the town of Xai-Xai will be affected.

In Inhambane, only the districts of Zavala, Inharrime and Panda will be affected.

INAM calls for precautionary and safety measures to be taken in the face of the strong winds.
