The First Lady of the Republic, Gueta Chapo, is making a working visit to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from June 17 to 19, where she will take part in the 7th edition of the First Ladies Initiative Summit, promoted by the Merck Foundation.
This is an important international forum that brings together First Ladies, leaders of health organizations, policy-makers and technical experts from around the world, with a particular focus on the African and Asian continents.
The Summit aims to foster dialog and share experiences on critical issues for public health and social development.
Under the slogan "Together We Make a Difference", the conference will include plenary and technical sessions focusing on key areas such as health empowerment, combating the stigma associated with infertility, promoting girls' education, preventing child marriage and advancing gender equality.
The First Lady's participation in this event reflects Mozambique's ongoing commitment to promoting the health and well-being of the population, as well as protecting the rights of women, adolescents and girls, a press release said
