War: Iranian missiles hit Israel after US strikes

Guerra: Mísseis iranianos atingem Israel após ataques dos EUA

According to Al Jazeera, Iran has launched a series of missile attacks against Israel, just hours after the United States bombed major Iranian nuclear facilities.

Explosions were heard in the cities of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem on Sunday, shortly after the Israeli army confirmed the launch of Iranian missiles and activated its air defense systems.

Warning sirens sounded in several Israeli cities. According to the emergency services and the local press, at least 20 people were injured.

Israeli police reported that fragments of weaponry fell in an area near the northern port of Haifa, where rescue resources were mobilized.

Tel Aviv, Haifa and Beersheba, in the south, have been the main targets of Iranian attacks.

Coverage of missile attacks is subject to strict military censorship rules in Israel. According to official figures, since the beginning of the conflict on June 13, at least 50 hits have been recognized throughout Israeli territory, resulting in the deaths of 25 people.

Iran warned of "eternal consequences" after US President Donald Trump claimed that US strikes had "annihilated" Iran's nuclear facilities in Isfahan, Fordow and Natanz.

Meanwhile, both Iran's National Nuclear Security Center and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) have reported that there has been no increase in radiation levels following the US bombings.
