The government wants to reinstate the railway line linking downtown Maputo to Machava Stadium, in the municipality of Matola.

The announcement was made this weekend by the Minister of Transport and Logistics, João Matlombe, on the sidelines of the inauguration this weekend of three locomotives belonging to the Ports and Railways Company of Mozambique, CFM, according to RM.

The downtown area of Maputo and the Machava Stadium in Matola Municipality could once again be connected by a railway line.

It should be noted that in recent months, the CFM company has been investing in the transportation system for passengers and freight, as well as in infrastructure rehabilitation.
