Government bets on new technologies for road construction and maintenance

The Public Works, Housing and Water Resources sector will invest in new technologies in the construction, rehabilitation and maintenance of roads to provide greater resilience to the weather phenomena that cyclically affect the country.

According to the Minister of Public Works, Housing and Water Resources, Carlos Mesquita, the sector remains focused on conducting studies and implementing new technologies.

Speaking at the World Water Day celebrations, Mesquita explained that the Government's perspective is for social and economic infrastructure to be increasingly resilient to the impact of rainfall and cyclonic events.
