Ghorwane attends World Music Festival in Portugal

Ghorwane participa do Festival Músicas do Mundo em Portugal

The Mozambican music band Ghorwane, known as ?Os Bons Rapazes?, will participate in the 23rd edition of the Músicas do Mundo Festival in Sines and Porto Covo, Portugal.

The festival, announced to take place between July 22 and 29, will also bring together other African artists, namely Os Tubarões (Cape Verde), África Negra (São Tomé and Príncipe), and Tabanka Djaz, Eneida Marta, and Super Mama Djombo, representing Guinea-Bissau.

The African delegation also includes the Franco-Moroccan Bab L'Bluz and the Tuareg band Tinariwen, the Senegalese Lass, the Ghanaians Alotge Oho&His Sounds of Joy, the Congolese group Kin'Gongolo Kiniata, and the Madalitso Band, which makes its debut in Malawi at the festival.

One of the greatest artists of the African continent, the Nigerian Nneka, will be in Sines, and from Mali will come the singer Rokia Koné and the band Bamba Wassoulou Groove.

With 15 concerts, Africa is the origin of more than a third of the artists invited to this year's edition, organized by the Sines City Hall. Other artists who will participate in the FMM are from Portugal, Brazil, France, Estonia, England, Spain, Syria, Mexico, Cuba and Jamaica.
