Revenues from the export of natural gas extracted in Mozambique amounted to 901 million dollars during the first half of this year, an increase of 33% compared to the same period in 2023.
The data is contained in the Biannual Report on the Balance of Payments and International Investment Position, published by the Bank of Mozambique.

At the same time, according to the same report, there was growth in electricity revenues, with production of 349 million dollars, an increase of 68 million dollars compared to the performance in the first half of 2023.
The document also points to growth of 24% in the energy sector, as a result of increased production and tariff adjustments implemented by the exporting company for its main customers in the second half of 2023 and early 2024.
