FemTech wants to reach women in all provinces of Mozambique

FemTech quer chegar a mulheres de todas as províncias de Moçambique

Applications for the 10th edition of FemTech, a program whose main objective is to support the business development of women entrepreneurs from all over the country, are open until February 5.

The initiative comes from the company ideiaLab, in partnership with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the RVO - Dutch Enterprise Agency.

The program starts in February and will last four months. It will take place online so that candidates from all provinces can take part, with the aim of being as inclusive as possible.

A total of 25 participants will be selected with the opportunity to develop skills in their respective business areas.

The program is made up of 4 training models and includes workshop sessions coordinated by expert facilitators in business skills with business experience; Business Clinics taught by experts in areas such as negotiation; digital marketing and leadership.

It also includes clarification sessions with legal entities such as the Tax Authority, INAE, INSS and BAU, and round table sessions where female entrepreneurs can share experiences with each other.

"Through FemTech these women will learn business concepts and strategies in a simplified way and will be better able to manage their businesses and face day-to-day challenges in a positive way," says Tatiana Pereira, Executive Catalyst and co-founder of ideiaLab.

Throughout the program, participants will have access to a series of networking events, where they will meet Femmies Network entrepreneurs from past editions and will have the opportunity to enjoy individual sessions with Business Advisors, where they can focus especially on their business.

FemTech, created in 2008, has already trained more than 170 female entrepreneurs across the country. It is aimed at women aged 25 and over who have been running formal or informal businesses for at least two years. The program has also been implemented in Angola, Namibia, South Africa and Tanzania.
