Empresa Moçambicana de Seguros (EMOSE) announced on Thursday that it had achieved a net profit of 368.10 million meticais for the 2024 financial year, representing a growth of 746.95%.
In a press release, EMOSE's Board of Directors states that the positive performance announced here is the result of the measures implemented since 2023.
According to the Board of Directors, this result confirms the effectiveness of the strategy adopted, with emphasis on the containment of administrative costs, careful selection of risks and assertive management of financial investments.
"The company's financial strength is consolidated, with a solvency margin coverage ratio of 1,188.84%, representing a growth of 472.25 percentage points - a figure well above the regulatory prudential standards," says the EMOSE Board of Directors' note to shareholders.
For 2025, EMOSE's management has set its priorities on achieving sustainable results, consolidating its position in the market, strengthening its client base and expanding its operations into new segments, thus contributing to the country's socio-economic development.
It should be noted that EMOSE is a company made up of the State (39%), IGEPE (31%), GETCOOP (20%) and the remaining 10% are dispersed on the Mozambique Stock Exchange.
